Wait, what??!! It is MAY??! How did that happen? Maybe we will get back to that later...
First, what did you think of Kathya's post?? She is so talented. I do wish we lived closer together so we could see each other more. Kathya, I do not say this often enough, but you inspire me. Thank you!
On to my card. Our theme is Mother's Day. I wasn't sure what to do, because I didn't know if I had any current Mother's Day stamps. But guess what??!! Hiding in the Oh So Succulent stamp set was the charming stamp I used!! Never even saw it.
The greatest thing about polymer stamps is their ability to bend. I attached it to the block to follow the lines on the die I wanted to use. It is stamped in Night of Navy ink on Shimmer White cardstock.
The Designer paper is a peek at some gorgeous paper from the new catalog. You WILL want this paper if you like flowers. The suite is called Delightful Daisy. There is a punch too!! Yay! What is it about navy and yellow? I love that color combo.
I made a daisy, using the new punch, twice on shimmer white cardstock. On the top piece I used a dauber and sponged some Daffodil Delight ink in the center. It fit perfectly. A dimensional is between the two daisies. I took a bone folder, which I recently received at my up line's retreat, and curled the top flower's petals. Thank you, Diana, for the bone folder, as well as ALL the other gifts!!!
Here is my new bone folder!! Eep!! It has my name on it!! I had these made for my team members, but just put their names on them.
Here is a close up of the daisy! If you look closely you can see the sparkle of the shimmer paper.
To make the sentiment really pop I needed something that would make the teeny tiny verse stand out. I stamped the verse on Shimmer White and die cut it using one of the banners from the Bunch of Banners dies. Also, a banner was cut from Daffodil Delight and Night of Navy. With just a few snips on the blue and yellow banners they manage to fit quite nicely behind the shimmery white one!! They are popped up on dimensionals too.
Here is a close up of the banner.
The ribbon is brand new too! It is from the same suite and has darling little x's in white on yellow grosgrain 1/4 inch ribbon.
If you have stayed with me this long, you deserve a treat! Here is the full card!!
Card base is Night of Navy. A Daffodil Delight mat frames the designer paper.
