Hello!
You may have just arrived from Kathya's blog. She is such a sweetheart! Please do take a few moments and visit all the stops on this blog hop. We LOVE to hear from you too. I have no way (at least that I know of..) to know how many people are signed up to see my blog. I sometimes think that I am the only one who reads this!
We were supposed to create something for Spring. I have had this set for ages...well okay, since January, and I have been wanting to use it ever since. This image is from the Mediterranean Moments Stamp set, which is from the Occasions Catalog. There are four images; a sidewalk bistro, an adorable fluffy cat on a chair, a mini motorcycle stopped in front of a house, possibly in Paris, and the darling scene I chose for my card.
I actually used this card in a very mini class with three special stampers, who signed up for a 3 month club. Each month they were given a free class where we made 2 cards that were not available in any other class. It was a wonderful experience.
Some stampers call this the spotlight technique, because just part of the image is colored. The die I used left very little of the image uncolored, but you get the idea.
The image is stamped in black ink on Whisper White cardstock. The panel is adhered to an Island Indigo card base. I stamped the image again on watercolor paper. It is die cut with the Lots of Labels framelits. I used ink from Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, Crushed Curry, Perfect Plum, Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede and Marina Mist to paint the image. It really did not take too long. Possibly 10 minutes.
I used dimensionals to pop up the panel from the image below it, to give even more depth.
I am going to San Diego at the end of the week, for the Stampin' Up! convention called On Stage! I am so excited because this year I get to walk ON STAGE because I made it to Silver Elite, thanks to you, my customers, and huge thanks to my team, the Ellie Cats!! I have a small team, but we would make room for YOU!! Please let me know if you are interested in being a hobby demonstrator, where you are your only customer, or making a bit of income as well as getting a discount for yourself! It truly has NEVER been easier!
How about a couple of pictures from the still evolving redo of the craft room?! Ed added 3 small shelves for me, one to hold some tape and the stapler. See the kitty cat tape dispenser?? The other two, for now, hold current cards or swaps! The knobs on the upper cabinets are Mary Engelbreit!
The Trilogy Quilt show was last weekend and I managed to find a table runner that I HAD to have for the craft room! It has Mary Engelbreit fabric! I really like to support the locals, and the Trilogy Quilters make projects to give to various causes. Love that!
Please let me know what you think of my card. The next person on the hop is Nita. She is fairly new to our group. I am looking forward to seeing what she has done, as well as the rest of this talented group!
Until next time~
